nescioglot

A person who must look up a word they do not recognize; one who encounters unfamiliar terminology and is obliged to seek its meaning.

From Latin nescio ("I do not know"), from ne- ("not") + scire ("to know"), with -glot, from Ancient Greek γλῶττα (glôtta, "tongue"), on the pattern of polyglot.
